Incorporated Societies

Franks Ogilvie specialises in supporting member based organisations and not-for-profit organisations. We understand the unique challenges organisations like this can face and often the need for legal advice to be available not just to the leadership but also the members.

The Incorporated Societies Bill was passed on 5 April 2022. Most incorporated societies will need to analyse and redraft parts of their constitution and existing policies to meet the requirements of the new law.

Franks Ogilvie advocated to Parliament for the new law to reduce the administrative burden for societies. You can read our submission here
